CEO and Strategic Advisor

Jennifer L. Smith

Jennifer L. Smith is the CEO and Strategic Advisor at Growth Potential Consulting. She has more than 20 years of experience in leadership and has helped thousands of leaders across five continents, and fourteen industries develop their leadership capabilities. 

 

Prior to becoming a business owner, Jennifer was the vice president at a reinsurance company. In this role, she led a team focused on designing and implementing organization development interventions for approximately 1,200 employees and managed an annual budget of $1M. Her team’s primary areas of focus were leadership development, succession planning, performance management, and high-potential programs.

 

Jennifer achieved her MS degree in Organization Development and Human Resources from Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. She shares with the best and the brightest that leadership is choosing behaviors that inspire and enable others to contribute towards the effectiveness of the organization.

 

She attracts attention from the world’s leading companies because of her ability to share practical approaches that inform and inspire employees. Some organizations that have benefited from her expertise are Anthem, Inc., Prudential, General Electric, Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, Estée Lauder, Electrolux, Konica Minolta, University of Pennsylvania, Affinity Federal Credit Union, John Deere Financial, and Munich Reinsurance America, Inc.

 

Jennifer finished her undergraduate studies in Accounting at Grambling State University, and she graduated from The Johns Hopkins Carey Business School with a Master of Science in Organization Development and Human Resources. She is a Certified Professional Coach, Social + Emotional Intelligence Certified Coach®, and credentialed at the PCC level by the International Coach Federation. She is also an executive coach for The Wharton School.

 

Her desire to help others motivates her to offer pro bono facilitation as well as coaching to people who have been out of work and are struggling to get their next job. In addition, she is a mentor for a women’s high-potential leadership program.

Brien has helped executives develop innovative strategies, and individual contributors develop and leverage new capabilities.

Renee
Renée Toplansky has 30 years’ experience in consulting, management, training, technology, human resources, and communications. Renée is committed to helping people optimize their thinking, navigate and excel at change, and maximize their performance. Renée is recognized for enabling her clients to quickly identify priorities, clearly envision their future, and reach their objectives. Her approach is based on principles of neuroscience, positive psychology, and leadership development.
