Seeing Something Like it Was the First Time

This past weekend there was a women who had never seen snow flakes falling…the actual process of snowing versus arriving somewhere and it was already on the ground. Her curiosity, excitement, and amazement was wonderful to watch.

I began to think about how exciting it would be if leaders approached each conversation with their employees as if they were seeing snow for the first time. Imagine the impact you can have by getting curious and asking questions to understand from their perspective. By listening with empathy and seeking to understand, your employees will feel like what they say matters. So, take this even further. Imagine approaches most situations as if you were seeing snow falling for the first time. It may provide new insights into a lot of different situations. Wishing you GREAT success!
