Practicing Empathy
Empathy is a skill that some leaders struggle with because it demand that one be very present in the conversation and let go of all distractions. Truly being able to see things from another persons perspective and "stand in the shoes" of others during a conversation can develop a strong relationship. You can begin to understand their pain points, concerns, situations, successes, etc. Asking questions to learn more before immediately assuming that you know what is best for others can build high levels of trust.
