What Do You Stand For?
In order to be taken seriously as a leader it is important for you to have a "voice" and communicate messages that reflect your point of view, perspectives, experience or knowledge. To do that you must get clear about your values, what is most important to you, and what you stand for as a leader. A great way to do this is to create your Leadership Credo.
A few questions to get you started:
~ What brings you the greatest joy as a leader?
~ Why do you lead others?
~ What do you want to be known for as a leader?
~ What life lessons have influenced your leadership style?
~ If you were at a cocktail party listening to people talk about you and your team, what do you
want to hear them say?
~ What leadership quotes resonate most with you?
Once you have your credo, consider sharing it with your team so that they can get to know you better. I would love to read your Leadership Credo so feel free to email me a copy at jennifer@growthpotentialcons.com. Wishing you GREAT success!
